Hazelnuts —

corylus avellana / corylus maxima

Hazelnuts are good for you: packed with vitamins B and E, folic acid, minerals and rich in unsaturated fats.

A favourite ingredient in pastries and pralines but also in salads, casseroles and desserts. Furthermore, hazelnut oil is a perfect flavour enhancer in sweet and savoury dishes..

Make sure to chech out the recipe section.

The oil from hazelnuts is also a valuable ingredient in skincare products. Hazelnut oil is moisturising and is well absorbed by the skin. It firms, promotes circulation and smooths the skin. It is our ambition to eventually develop special soaps and creams with our own hazelnut oil.

Butler

Rotund oval shaped nuts, well-filled and easy to crack.

Thinner skins than the Hall's Giant.

Hall's Giant

Also known as Géant de Halle or Halle'sche Riesen.
Living up to its name: the nuts can be very large.

They have a wide base and a typical pointed tip.

White Filbert

Just a little different from the others: the official name is corylus maxima.

The filbert differs from the corylus avellana by its elongated shape, and the fruit husk encloses the entire nut with a tuft at the end..
